6'4 215 lb guard, co-5A POY his Sr. year and was a teammate of Trey Porter and played summer ball with Boo Williams. He was a non-qualifier coming out of Potomac HS. Can't find any concrete offers but it looks like CUSA schools (UTSA) might have offered and he visited Omaha (Summit League) a few weeks back. I am sure Ed Miller will have a more complete writeup.

BTW, Trey Freeman's vertical is 39"...not too shabby for a 6-2 pg.

Stephen is a stud athlete, had ACC football offers. Watch him in a dunk line with Ross, the guy is a beast. Great walkon for JJ. Trey is special.

Meh, not really impressed with the Haynes signing. Averaged 5.7 PPG and 3.3 RPG while shooting 59% from the FT line at NMJC. Seems exactly as advertised. A depth signing and not a major contributor.

Would that be such a bad thing? It's a key component to building a team. If everyone that signed with us was starter material and expected 30 mpg, we would have a mass exodus of transfers on an annual basis. Afterall, there are only so many minutes to dole out. We need guys who can challenge the starters in practice and allow us to rest the starters for brief periods. Not every signing will have the obvious impact of a Trey Freeman. But that doesn't make it less important.

Funny. The guy was co-player of the year for Virginia High School for Potomac, the state champs. Perhaps in JUCO in doesn't get many minutes of playing time, which seems to be the norm. I would take a guy like that anytime.
