There is nothing to settle on the football field and I prefer to stay on topic. This isn't about Saban or Bama Football.

I agree. Karle is doing his part to promote the broader cause, but his statements have made it abundantly clear that he is just tossing statements into the wind and seeing what happens. I don't think he knows much about the situation, but is heavily anti-UA enough to care

Remember that Karle and Finebaum were "guest coaches" for a Bama spring game a couple years ago. I think his "crimson credibility" is in good shape. Saban knows the game can never happen because of the crimson administration and I would guess, Karle knows it too.

Sure he can. Saban could tell his bosses, "Put UAB on the schedule or I'm going to be the next head coach at Florida. Or even better, the DC at Auburn." That would get the job done. But that's not what this fight is about.

Don't want to play Saban for same reason I didn't want to play LSU! Only D-1 school in state with 1-0 record against Saban!
