questions for the Miserables - BinghamptonNed - 11-28-2014 11:45 AM

Do you really want Josh gone?

Do really think there is any chance of his being fired this year?

If he is fired, where does the money come from?
keep in mind we are about to double our coaching expense in football, have a $40,000,000 building campaign, we are also looking for 10-30million for the rumored conference move up...

Yes, I want JP gone. His style and personality doesn't fit in Memphis. He isn't and never was qualified to be the head coach of our program.

I find it ironic a pumper is still using a term coined by Cal

Be careful or they will call you a troll

RE: questions for the Miserables - Chirs - 11-28-2014 11:51 AM

I just want him gone. I don't care how it happens.

RE: questions for the Miserables - bluebacker - 11-28-2014 11:59 AM

I want him to succeed. He certainly has this year and probably the next.

I think he has underachieved with the resources available to him.

I'd rather that he gets it done and stays forever.

I would too but I choose not to lie to myself. It ain't happening. He's not a good head coach and I don't think he ever will be.

He gets 1 bad year. Back to back bad years (NIT or worse) will do the trick...

I would wish the same. I just can't see it happening. It seems he's in over his head. Some of the personality traits that seem to endear him to recruits may be the same ones that stunt his growth as a coach. His lack of toughness seems to rub off on the players.

Year 1 - Bad. Gets a pass for obvious reasons
Year 2 - Mediocre. Still got a pass for the most part
Year 3 - Mediocre.
Year 4 - Mediocre.
Year 5 - Mediocre
Year 6 - Bad. No more passes, it is time to go.

He is "rebuilding" from a one NCAA tournament win team. That is just not good enough. Nice guy, but mediocre to bad coach.

I like your well thought out plan.

Well done.

If we have an NIT season this year (looks like it) but follow that up with another "mediocre" NCAA tournament appearance in 15-16, he'll survive.

Why waste your breath? The ones who want Josh gone can't grasp using a screwdriver to put a basketball goal up much less the reasons why the money might not be there to buy him out. Oh, one other thing. Don't ever embarrass them with the fact that they won't help buy him out. That gets you called names and labeled not a hardcore fan. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Hard not to laugh when mediocre posters call two seasons that ended with us being ranked; as mediocre. Funny.

Not lately. Last meal out in the Poplar corridor was at Folk's Folly.

Yeah, because you are far too sophisticated and nuanced in your fanhood for us rubes to grasp. You seem like an arrogant little fella.

Heaven forbid us common folk want to get rid of a bad coach so we can get a better one.
