The committee is supposed to pare down the applicants to just 2 to maybe 6 or so that will be interviewed. Is the information FOI-able? Will the university just give the names to the media? I would think the applicants would wanted to be notified, and make a decision about whether they want to come for an interview, before their names are released to the public.

Since it is a personel matter, it very well might not be subject to FOI, but I don't know for sure.
