Would anyone on here really be that distraught if Pastner is fired? - Malachi - 11-13-2014 02:21 PM

Even his supporters?

Sure you hate it for him, he's a nice guy and all. But would it stir up some insane, strong sense of emotion that makes you question the direction of the program?

Change is good.

Depends on the list.

He's not getting fired. He just got a pay raise, and the buyout is big time. Were stuck with him for a while

This not going to happen, no time soon.

I would this early in the season. You would be damning this team to a losing record.

Agreed. Let this season play out. But overall, I think we need to move in another direction. For the money we pay Pastner, we can get a great coach.

I would disagree with it, but not vehemently. Let him ride it out and reevaluate in the offseason

Change is good... That is every bit as accurate as Barney Stinson saying "Newer is ALWAYS better!!!"

I remember another coach that lost a regular season game to Austin Peay and complained loudly that a coach only played zone in an exhibition game.... huh, but change is always good!!!!

Shoot him down but he won't fall?

RE: Would anyone on here really be that distraught if Pastner is fired? - HometownTiger - 11-13-2014 02:34 PM

Heck, he aint getting canned in the middle of the season so long as he graduates kids and keeps em out of trouble. Even if we suck, we would wait until after the season to evaluate his position.

FWIW, I know the $ is a real concern. As is the list of candidates we would realistically be able to get. But I wouldn't worry about that too much if this season is REALLY UGLY/BAD. Both have ways of working out in our favor.

No, you wouldn't. But feel free to commit to that and promise to record it and post it here for all to see.

I was upset for about a month when Kirk was fired and about a week when Finch got the axe. I might be upset for a day or two with Josh

I call BS.

It really doesn't matter what we think. It matters what the big money boosters who are paying his salary think.

However, if attendance drops like it did when Larry was coach you would have to thing the admin would take notice especially the Grizz in lost beer sales.
