Question for either Uconn, UH, or ECU fans when visiting Raymond James - UCF Section 126 - 11-06-2014 07:18 PM

Did you buy your away game ticket through your school allotment? USF has given the crummiest of upper bowl tix for our allotment. Probably will just scalp for this badly attended rivalry game.

Check Stubhub. There were some bargains last week for the UH game. At the gate the lower bowl around the 40 will cost you $60.00 each.

Buy a ticket, walk down and get a great seat next to the field, yell UCF sucks and the USF fans will buy you beer.

I prefer to use seatgeek since it searches hundreds of different sites and lists the best deals as an overlay on top of the stadium seating chart.

My ticket rep at UCF told our group not to buy through UCF. Apparently that is the company line. It was strange to hear since we are used to the "please only buy through UCF" for bowl games but I think the middle finger is being extended both ways.

Seems like it will backfire for USF. Less revenue (the tickets through UCF aren't cheap...even for upper level), UCF fans buying from USF ticket holders (or 750 coke rewards points!...true story) and at the end of the day we will be in the lower level in just about every section. And...they are still paying to open the upper deck.

In any stadium I have been to you can always get better seats for a lower price by not going thru the school. A regular season gMe is different from a bowl game because the visiting school is NOT on the hook for selling tickets
I know some of you want to make this about USF trying to get at UCF but the reality is that they are not if you look at USF visiting fan section there is an area on the east side by lower level end zone and the rest are upper decks that's what everyone gets
So if you don't like those seats you can get seats elsewhere by buying from somewhere else

I spoke to a SMU rep once and he said it is more of a hassle selling tickets for other teams. Takes away time selling and processing home games.

Cuban, I don't slight you for not knowing this already - as it hasn't been the case for your other visiting teams (see reason thread was started)...

UCF wasn't given a lower bowl section at all per usual - even our band is slated to be in the upper deck of an NFL stadium per reports from UCF...unbelievable.

They have been given lower bowl tickets. Now wether your school saves those for certain donation levels is a different story. As for the band thats normal. USF band was placed in top decks by UM when we played there.
Section 132 is the lower section for visiting team fans. And yes UCF was given tickets in that section. Now as I said before wether UCF chooses to make those seats available to its fans thats a different story. I bet your high donors got those seats.

I sent an email to my normal handler through the Alumni association and yet again this is pure UCF bull****. Section 132 as usual has been opened up to the visiting school just like it has been to every other school that has come to Ray Jay this year.
How your school chooses to distribute those is up to them but to come onto a board and again try to make us look bad without doing your research is pretty crappy. Hate us for any good reason you can come up with but continuing to make up crap just furthers your rep as fans.

Correct. I also contacted them and once again is another one of those oh poor UCF here is bad USF screwing with us.

All year long section 132 is for visitors, the rest are upper decks. Thats the same set up many schools offer now a days. UM did that to USF last time we visited. There is NOTHING stopping UCF fans from buying lower deck seats from USF and other sources and I'm sure there will be plenty on the east side that faces the TV

And since this is a REGULA4 season game NOT a bowl game UCF is NOT on the hook for not selling the tickets given to them by USF.

So stop the whining and if you want to go to the game find a source that provides a ticket at the location you want for the price you are willing to play. There will be plenty available. I'm going to say that the actual butts in seat for this game will be around 40k split almost 50-50.
