No Pressure, but we (MU) need MTSU and ODU to win this weekend - MU42 - 10-27-2014 07:37 PM

If I'm not mistaken this is C-USA's last shot to beat a P5 school vs Vandy and BYU is pretty well respected and if anything it helps in the computers. It's not C-USA's job to help us look better but we need your help if these idiots are going to pick us over ECU (Unless they lose again).

Anytime the Blue Raiders win and vandy loses it is a great day, so I hope it happens. If it helps Marshall and that helps the conference I am all for it.

I would not be so sure they would pick ECU over Marshall if they both win out. Every team ECU beat is .500 or worse. They could end the season only beating 2 winning teams. After watching them against Ucon I doubt they win out. They were less than impressive since the UNC game. Just handle your business and everything will work out.

I wish I felt more confident about the Monarchs helping out. I just cant picture our D stopping even the worst SEC offense. And our O line is too small this season to hold back even Vandy's D, which will put too much pressure on Heinike too fast. We'll see. I'm thinking we lose by 2 or 3 touchdowns.

Yup. Only other OOC game left for the conference is WKU vs. Army after this weekend. ODU should beat Vandy, and I hope we can pull it off against BYU, but knowing our history in these types of games at home, I'm not sold we can do it.

My level of optimism has been high for every game so far this season (except for Marhall, and even then I thought we might give them a good game), but my optimism is rapidly waning. I have little hope that the Monarchs will be much help for the Herd this week, but a win is possible if they will only find their "D".

You guys will be fine. It's just growing pains that you're experiencing... It's not like you went from FCS to the Sun Belt (see Georgia Southern and Appy)... You will start to get better FBS recruits... I thing Charlotte is going to have a TON of problems coming into CUSA (insofar as football is concerned).

In fact, if Marshall had entered CUSA in 1997 and not the MAC, I don't think we'd have won the conference...IMHO

I do, however, think your coach needs to stop going for it on 4th and 99 though...

This is it guys this is the time our conference mates can show their support and send their defense to play for ODU i mean you won't be expecting us to win this game with no defense right? You know what here's the bargain send the worst defensive player on your roster and we would still be happy knowing that defense can do better than arm tackling. Go O_U

Vandy got throttled by Temple and beat UMASS and Charleston Southern by a combined 4 points. No reason for ODU not to be very competitive.

Yea Vandy is terrible, I think ODU can win this game....Something like 35 to 34 is doable...Just for ODU's sake hope it does not come down for your kicker to win the game, not impressed with your FG kicker..

Our FG Kicker is actually not our FG Kicker.He's our punter. Our Starting kicker is out for the season. I think we have a new guy who is actually a kicker who played during the WKU game, but i believe he is only a freshman.
