Archie Manning takes leave of absence from CFP selection committee - CommuterBob - 10-20-2014 08:19 AM

RT @mortreport: Archie Manning resigning from CFO committee to focus on health due to complications from knee replacement surgery

So does the committee work with only 12, or can a replacement be found and worked in on the fly?

Wish him well... I think they need someone impartial like Lou Holtz .

Twelve, thirteen, what's the difference? Unless you feel you need an odd number to break ties, why add somebody now? And if you still need to break a tie after all the viewing and debating, you may as well flip a coin.

Yep, and he's supposed to return next year. Had no idea a bum knee would keep someone from WATCHING football.

I'd be cool with that if they'll allow cameras into the room when they're debating the final rankings.

It keeps him from traveling to the committee's meetings, according to the CFP press release.

It's quite possible the surgery wouldn't but the resulting medications would.

Well maybe he isn't supposed to sit for too long and let it get stiff.

It will be Joe Namath. He's knees sort of work now.

Except now you got to find a way to keep Namath sober so that he does not hit on the ESPN analyst when he is being interviewed.

It is funny how so many folks, yourself included, have this irrational and borderline insane obsession with The Big Ten.

It doesn't matter, your school is destined for Mid major status going into the indefinite future. I am sorry, if anyone deserves a step up at this point it is ECU but...there at best is only one more step available and the chance of it ending up being ECU is about 15%.

I'd just like to point out I am a Maryland alum, and I found it hilarious.

The tweet itself is fine. The fact that an ECU fan is posting it, that is what I was alluding to. But hey, spin it however you like.
