There will be ~3,000~ Tiger fans in Oxford - MemTiger90 - 09-27-2014 10:44 AM
Normally, we take 5-7k. But with it being 5 weeks in, we won't take as many as we do when we open the season down there. We actually sent about half of the tickets we requested back to ole miss about a week ago. Little early, IMO. A good portion of our remaining allotment didn't sell until after the MTSU win, so if we would have kept more tickets, we would have sold them. Oh well. There will be an endzone of blue! Go Tigahs!

Typical of our ticket office. If it is not an outright lie, it is a lie of omission. Been dealing with that office for 40 years-need a good administrator to take over and start over. It is a mess!

Incorrect info I believe we sold out entire allotment. Most contracts call for the minimum allotment to be 5,000. In addition there are tons of Tigers fans in Mississippi.

Minimum requirement is 2,000. You can request more. We requested 5,000 because that's what we normally sell for games in oxford. But with it being 5 weeks in, we didn't sell like normal. So we returned about half

I have in on good authority that many tiger fans bought tickets in the ahem...'wrong' section. Plus, they arrived wearing pisspink, but will be baring their true colors.

I had to listen to a close friend detail last night how she had to light a fire under someone over there about why they had not been proactive with MATA in keeping the buses running to the Forum for Tiger games. At first, they just said, sorry, there was nothing they could do about it. When she added up the cost of her tickets and donation, and said multiply that by all the other folks on the bus who will not longer go, they kind of got the picture and helped get the service reinstated.
Things are SO much better on Normal with Bowen, but there still seem to be some lazy, unimaginative employees.
