EMU receives a lot of criticism because of poor support for football and men's basketball, but there's more to any college's athletic program than those two.
Cartwright Award demonstrates that. Congrats to the Hurons.

Actually a real nice award. This is what college and allege athletics should be about; and what, in my opinion, the MAC schools generally do better than other conferences. So congratulations EMU!

Just so you know we won the Hop Sing award for the most hospitable athletes, Shayne Whittington won the Hoss Cartright Award for being the Big Hoss of MAC hoops, and 5'5" RB Darion Chance won the Little Joe Award for packing a punch in a small package. It was an award Bonanza.

So EMU really got the Costanza award, issued out by a Chinese restaurant. :)
It's good EMU got the award though. Something to give them some sort of positive for their football team. It's good for the conference to not have teams of low-calibur like UMass, Miami, EMU (and WMU from last year and hopefully not this year).
