It's not rain, but the threat of thunderstorms, crazy wind and lightning like we had a couple times recently at games that makes me say, ugh! But rain or shine, hail or snow, I will be there! I can't wait.
It will cool things off a bit for the players.

Thinking about last time we opened season with a rain storm in forecast. Got to watch Dave Brown on the big screen but didn't like the results of game. .

Anyone heard anything about where ticket sales are at? I know last year the numbers were being released all week prior to the game

Rainsuits and ponchos are essential gear for serious football fans. Unless you are old or in poor health, rain is no excuse for missing a game. If we want a football program we have to do our part.

In past years I was willing to get soaked by rain, but my advanced years makes it less of an option.
May fans bring a small backpack into the LB (subject to search) so I may bring a poncho?

Yes, and to your point, security will take a look through it. They always take a quick glance through my wifes purse.
