Hey, can you blame them for wanting to (ahem) spice up the game? Rimshot

Apparently that's a big rivalry. I read somewhere where one side was letting a bunch of "banned hooligans" back in their stadium just for that game. Other side was pissed about it. Oh well, such is Argentine soccer I guess.

Yep, Boca-Plate is this side of the globe's Celtic-Rangers. Rampant hooliganism, lots of animosity, etc.

lol, just read that the match was abandoned and Boca has been banned from playing any international matches in that stadium for 2 years.

They may not even pick the game up behind closed doors...if they don't, they will just kick Boca out of the tournament

Berra just screwed his team big time.

Handball on the line to deny a goal. He got straight red, put his team down a man, and Norwich converted the PK.

Should've just let the ball go in and stayed in the game to help chase after the tying goal.

Meanwhile, Southampton's quest to fail to make the Europa League ran into the buzzsaw that is one of the worst defensive displays by Villa that I have ever seen.

Saints up 5-1 at half. They have one player who converted a hat trick in less than 3 minutes, and another who is on a hat trick heading into the 2nd half... Thankfully for USMNT fans, Guzan is sitting on the bench for this disaster. (Get a feeling he may move this Summer)

I'm glad Norwich moved up...we get to beat up mick some more

That first 30 minutes was absolutely insane. Soon fans have to be wondering why they're offense goes from looking like 4-year-old children kicking a ball as hard as they can all the time to one of the more impressive displays all season and ruined they're shot at #4 with losses to some of the worst teams staying up.

Spurs 2 Hull 0. Spurs very close to clinching Europa. Swansea has to win tomorrow against Man City to keep things alive. Hull is in bad shape

QPR 2 Newcastle 1 Newcastle is one shock Hull upset of Man Utd from doing the opposite of the great escape. QPR fans invaded the pitch after the game, and it wasn't to celebrate their happy news of being able to return to the championship. Now throwing rocks and bottles and Newcastle fans, who are throwing them back, probably confusing them for John Carver.

Sunderland 0 Leicester 0 Foxes complete the great escape, clinching safety with a draw. Sunderland not safe yet, but need just a point from Arsenal or Chelsea, or a basic Man Utd win over Hull to keep them safe.

West Ham 1 Everton 2 Yawn

Burnley 0 Stoke City 0 Swans clinch 8th place...and Yawn

Hell of an effort from Swansea today. Man city was just too good in the end, and Joe Hart was Joe Hart. 4-2 Final. We finish 8th this season, so next week's game at Crystal Palace will be more of a celebration than a critical game.

Now that City is locked into the #2 spot, can someone get in Pelligrini's ear about throwing their last game so Newcastle can get relegated?

Wrong Manchester. Hull plays United. City plays Southampton.

Speaking of Prison rape, a BBC Journalist and his camera crew got thrown in Qatari Prison this week for filming the living conditions of the Migrant/Slave Labor building the World Cup Stadiums.

The great part about the story is that they were invited to Qatar to film specifically that. Qatar offered no reason other than Trespassing, calling it a "National Security issue"

Now you know why their fans are in open revolt and everyone wants them relegated. Side point, but I'm REALLY sad that Grantland is about to get much worse.

Wolves made a great signing this morning. Jed Wallace from Portsmouth is going to be a stud.
