OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread - CalallenStang - 08-17-2014 09:08 AM Since the old thread is broken, here's a new thread OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - CalallenStang - 08-17-2014 09:10 AM Liverpool scored literally right after I posted this thread. Not sure how I feel about that RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - BearcatMan - 08-17-2014 09:11 AM All hail the new thread. You Liverpooligans, lucked this out out of your asses lol. OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - CalallenStang - 08-17-2014 09:15 AM Turning point in this game was when Tadic came off OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - CalallenStang - 08-17-2014 09:18 AM Wow. That was close RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - Kronke - 08-17-2014 09:24 AM (08-17-2014 09:11 AM)BearcatMan Wrote: All hail the new thread. Just like pretty much everyone else this weekend. Arsenal and Spurs didn't deserve 3 points either. RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - Kronke - 08-17-2014 09:25 AM MOTM for me has to be Mignolet. No one else really stood out. That last save was world class. I just wish he could be more consistent. OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - CalallenStang - 08-17-2014 09:25 AM Not sure what to think of that game. Is Soton still as good as last year despite selling everyone? Or have Liverpool taken a step or two back? RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - Kronke - 08-17-2014 09:30 AM (08-17-2014 09:25 AM)CalallenStang Wrote: Not sure what to think of that game. World Cup rust, new signings have yet to mesh, and still playing without a few starters/difference makers. Moreno, Lallana, Flanno, Agger, Markovic, Enrique, and Falcao (troll face). So, pretty much like everyone else this weekend. Arsenal were sh*t. Spurs were sh*t. Chelsea will probably be sh*t, as well. RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - BearcatMan - 08-17-2014 09:33 AM T-minus 30 minutes to the start of the 39 week long tragic saga, "Will Alan Pardew be Found Floating in the Tyne?" Yep, couldn't agree more, this was a weekend that SO FAR has shown the parity this year may present. As far as my MOTM, it has to be Tadic in a losing effort. He brought about most of the Soon attack, and the game quite significantly changed when he was subbed out prematurely. RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - bearcatmark - 08-17-2014 10:05 AM Unimpressed with Liverpool for most the match. couldnt sustain much on the attack, but made a couple big plays (the delivery to sterling on the first goal was first class) and escaped with 3 points... for match 1, I'll take it. OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - Kronke - 08-17-2014 10:37 AM Not sure what these Newcastle attackers are aiming at. RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - DfromCT - 08-17-2014 10:41 AM Despite the fact that the greatest soccer club is owned by a Tulane family, I could care less than less about soccer. I probably watched more soccer in this year's world cup than I had in my previous 51 years of life combined. And it wasn't all that much! RE: OT: The NEW Official Soccer Thread (2014-2015 edition) - BearcatMan - 08-17-2014 10:46 AM I've never seen a whole team that's as one-footed as Newcastle are this year, and that's without a healthy Santon on the left acting like his right foot doesn't exist. I was getting the same problem on my computer. You could avoid the double posts by posting through your phone through a browser (weird), but it still took a long time to go through. I was going to start a new one, but thought about you being able to edit the title so I didn't. Oh well, let's see if Calallen is up to the challenge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
