I don't read anything into his statement. It's one of those things he has to say to avoid being fired. I very seriously doubt he wants to be known in football circles as sympathetic to the gay cause -- in his mind that would detract from his tough guy image.

I figure about 5 more years. Maybe then too we can do away with the phrase "come out".

As for Toad, I never thought he was pure evil. This action, lip service or not, does nothing to change my perception of him.
