It sure is lonely here! 07-coffee3

Nope. We're all out to lunch.

If Louisville had ended up in the Big 12 as well, we'd at least have more posters here to keep this board going. I'm surprised and a bit disappointed that other core Big 12 teams' fans hadn't stumbled across this board during the realignment wave like I did.

It's kind of difficult to keep a conversation going with nobody partaking in the conversation. There are some B12 posters here and there. But all they seem to want to talk about is realignment, and not actual sports.

That is because so many want to expand to at least 12 and/or find a new conference to be free from Texas domination of conference leadership. 07-coffee3

Nobody in charge of any B12 programs want to expand, which is what counts. A very few fans don't count.

Unfortunately, this question has a new meaning for KU football fans. We've lost 2 senior RBs to season ending injuries (one ACL tear and one Achilles tear) in the last few days.

Prior to that, a Lawrence columnist compared KU's offense to a baseball team with a poor starting rotation, and noted how teams whose starters can't eat up innings often end up with bullpens with worn-out arms from overuse. His comparison was to note how a team with a poor offensive line often ends up with beaten-up skill players. We were likely to suffer attrition during the season as it was - now, we don't have anyone in the top 3 spots on the depth chart who has as much as a single carry in college, and one is a freshman who is being moved over from safety. I think our new coordinator is making some good changes and has a good track record, but it's likely to be another long fall in Lawrence.

It happens, Phog. Sometimes you just can't win for losing, and that seems to be Charlie's lot in college life.

Isn't that true.
