Hopefully CTT knows something that we don't. This goes for the having a return game from Michigan, in football, and Nippert going to have a final capacity of 45,000; something in the back of mind tells me that this is Tommy just pumping out his chest on the capacity front.

He said that on the radio the other day along with all of the other stuff mentioned.

It would be like going to a sold out game at O$U, Michigan, Tennessee and most of the elite programs. The size of their seats are like 8 inches it looks like and if the game is sold out, you can't sit and have to stand sideways. Heck Nippert might get to 50K if they made the seats that small. Glad we have a little extra room compared to many stadiums.

I think someone in the AD's office once said if we had the same seat sizes as OSU or UM we could get Nippert up to around 60k (pre rennovation). I'd be excited with 45,000 honestly, but logistically I don't know how we would do it unless they filled the new club level out the whole way.

I seem to remember hearing the same comment about seat sizing. Was it Whit? I figure with the new addition we should probably get an official number of 40k with a little help from the fire marshall

Seat size isn't the issue, it would be having to accommodate that many more people when space is very limited in and around campus compared to most other football stadiums.
