Ranking the Top 20 'Freaks' in college football for '14 - BobL - 07-07-2014 01:01 PM

#20: Akeem Daniels, RB, Northern Illinois Huskies
The Huskies' best blocking tailback was missed last season while he dealt with a foot injury that required surgery, but NIU coaches are excited to have the power-packed 5-7, 192-pound Daniels back.

According to NIU Director of Sports Performance Brad Ohrt, Daniels vertical jumped 40.5 inches, broad-jumped 10 feet, 6 inches, and clocked a pro agility time of 3.90.

Broad based article (given that Temple and Kent State are mentioned as well) but still very cool to see NIU mentioned... feel like wasn't that long ago we never had guys mentioned in these type of off season pieces and now we have man COMING OFF INJURY mentioned..so cool

3.90 in the shuttle would've ranked him second overall at the NFL combine

I am just remembering it was almost a year ago when I lit up the board with my "report" on the Football 101 Clinic for women...when I said that Akeem was there on crutches & in a boot. You guys all freaked. LOL

It will be really nice to have Akeem back this year. He and Stingley...what a duo.

I am interested to hear a report on TLL and if his boot is gone.
