Looks like they are getting a facelift on June 30th.

Nice sleek design? I think they've made giant leaps to improve their media but looking forward to where they go next! A lot of JMU's past designs seem so "family friendly" and not mean or menacing,, see Duke dog iterations and sportsmanship campaigns.

Oh and you know what would be great- if they launched it one day before the July 1 date to switch conferences with a big ol' MAC logo on the bottom

I actually like the current version as it's pretty clean and provides a good amount of content so I'm a bit surprised they felt a need to replace but hopefully they roll some cool stuff out there but there isn't much to be desired from the current one that I can think of.

I was really hoping they would do a Facebook competition again...

I kid, I kid.

Caasports is also launching a new website on July 1st. Their sample sneak peak has no schools on it- could it be jmu is gone by July 1?

This just shows how connected at the hip JMU and the CAA are...they use the same website developer...

This is not unique to JMU. The athletics web site of every CAA school except Northeastern is "empowered by NeuLion."

Sweet! If we're predicting our future based on affiliation with NeuLion we're equally connected to the Big 10, the PAC-12 and the America East just to name few. Must mean we're going BCS, then dropping football to save money in the AE, then welcomed home to the CAA as a restarted program07-coffee3

RE: JMUsports.com - Pitz - 06-24-2014 11:41 PM

The new site is/will be much sleeker than anything NeuLion has ever produced.

And from what I've seen on twitter NeuLion isn't even producing it correct?

Can we assume that JMU has decided that, rather than roll out a new website today, they will continue monitoring to see as to whether or not the landscape of "this whole internet thing" changes? 01-wingedeagle

They are probably too busy deleting all the angry comments on their various sources of online media regarding their treatment of the sexual assault case.

Can we assume that you are a troll with the patience of a toddler?

I actually thought the comment was in jest... and pretty funny, too.

RE: JMUsports.com - Dadgum - 06-30-2014 10:02 AM

Indeed, comment was in jest, was suprised no one actually made the comment at 12:01 am. Oh and DMadison, you're barking up the wrong tree.

Sarcasm does not translate over the internet.

RE: JMUsports.com - Potomac - 06-30-2014 10:05 AM

so jmusports on facebook is promoting the page as if it's live... but i still don't see anything different when I visit it.

RE: JMUsports.com - bridgeforthduke - 06-30-2014 10:09 AM

The SEC also launched a new website today. JMU to the SEC!

RE: JMUsports.com - CISDuke2014 - 06-30-2014 10:11 AM

New site is up. But clicking through, lots of pages aren't done yet (rosters, facilities, etc) they all take you to the old site with a 404 error. A few other links from the menu are just dead and don't take you anywhere. Other then that it's very well designed and looks good. Just curious why you would put an unfinished product out live, had plenty of time to test since the announcement.

RE: JMUsports.com - JMUETC - 06-30-2014 10:15 AM

It's not a big deal as I don't spend a lot of time on the site but it reminds me of an evening I spent with some folks who worked for ESPN a while back. They asked me what I thought of sports center. I told them I had stopped watching it a long time ago as the highlight packages got shorter and they turned to more and more opinions of the experts du jour. After a good discussion they told me that huuuuuge changes where coming. They told me I would love the new sportscenter but that they couldn't share the details. A month later the new sportscenter debuted with a huuuuuuuge change. The anchors stood up instead of sitting behind a desk.

Point is, these changes are often a much bigger deal to the people on the inside than the actual "consumers".

Not a dig at all, just reminded me of a funny story.

Update: all that said, I like the new simple design. Looks good.
