SEC Wins - Arrowhead - 06-19-2014 10:43 PM

ULM has wins over Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi St., and Kentucky. Is that the most in the SBC? What SEC teams has your team beaten?

RE: SEC Wins - Atlanta Trojan - 06-19-2014 11:13 PM

Mississippi State

We beat Missouri before but they were big 12 then.

Several close games in the last several years tho too.

MT got three while in the Sun Belt, granted all three came against Vandy.

Yeah we had a Auburn in overtime and another year led them with 1:28 left. Also had Arkansas beat before allowing them to catch a wish and a prayer and then missed a winning field goal. I know UL-L had Florida beat a few years back, but couldn't hold on. Tough to win at SEC venues against the refs.

I would generally agree with you, but the refs were pretty fair in our game against UF. I just KNEW they were going to kill us with chop block penalties, but I'm not sure if even one was called.

The refs had ample opportunity to throw the flags on controversial and physical plays....but they didn't. It was a well called game, IMO.

Monroe has the most wins against the SEC. They account for more than half of them.

The SBC is 7-108 against the SEC.

How are you defining those stats?

Current SBC members all time record against all past and present members of the SEC? Because ULM was not a member of the Sun Belt when they beat Kentucky or Mississippi State, Missouri wasn't a member of the SEC when Troy beat them and there are former SBC members who beat SEC teams while they were in the SBC.

Just curious, which seven wins are you counting?

Does Texas A&M count prior to being in the SEC? We've beat a bunch of Big 12 teams.

RE: SEC Wins - trojanbrutha - 06-20-2014 12:18 PM

Troy wasn't in the SBC when they beat MSU...it was a transition year.

RE: SEC Wins - Crump1 - 06-20-2014 12:42 PM

stAte beat A&M before they joined the SEC.

Might have been a transition year... But the question wasn't what sec teams has your school beaten since being in the SBC.

Granted... it wasn't about former Big 12 or moral victories either.

I don't think the question has actually been defined.

Let me redefine. How many SEC teams have current SBC teams BEATEN in the modern era, not in the 20's, etc? We were discussing on the ULM board as was trying to see if ULM had the most at four.

All wins count...

50, 60 years from now ULM will still count their wins over Bama and Ark. But I understand what you mean but it's still nice to say Western is 2-0 vs Miami

RE: SEC Wins - HeartOfDixie - 06-20-2014 10:44 PM

Since 2000 it seems the only current SBC team to beat an SEC team is ULM, twice. Other than that there are no wins.
