looks like EMU will be competitive in the East regionals (J'ville, Florida).

NCAA has only East and West regionals (not like hoops with four regions).

We won't have NCAA champs, like days of old, but we will have a decent showing.

EMU had a very successful meet at the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, FL.

Six men (that includes the 4 x 400M relay team) and two women going to Eugene, Ore for the NCAA championships in two weeks.

I'm hoping Hoopster (maybe using the screen name "Trackster" ;-) ) will start following T&F recruiting. That is crazy stuff as we recruit southeast MI (drum roll) and also other interesting places like Russia, Poland, Spain, France, etc. (not to mention less far away places like Florida and California and Texas. A feast for recruiting fans. :)

Heather Lyke used the hashtag #YellowShortsRock.
Glad to see our Track team doing so well.

I've always followed the track and field teams as they have had the highest achievers of any sport at EMU. This year's team is the best in half a dozen or so years.

The MAC men's teams have taken a big hit in the last decade or more. Financial pressures and Title IX have left the league with only five teams.
