Question about Hwy 385 (aka i269) - BIGDTiger - 05-01-2014 08:07 AM

Is it completed from I 40 all the way to 57 now? Google maps says it is, but all other maps say no.

RE: Question about Hwy 385 (aka i269) - Downtown Tiger - 05-01-2014 08:13 AM

385 is completed all the way from 40 to 240. It's awesome.

RE: Question about Hwy 385 (aka i269) - Mick Light - 05-01-2014 08:13 AM

I know it used to dead end at 72 but it does go further now but not sure if it goes all the way to 57. Used it this Saturday and Sunday.

RE: Question about Hwy 385 (aka i269) - WColt45 - 05-01-2014 08:32 AM

It actually starts from Hwy 51 in Millington, connects all the way to Bill Morris Pkwy/Nonconnah Blvd and loops back around to 240

To be specific, yes, 385 connects to 57 and all other major streets.

86% of Piperton's budget comes from flooding their little piece of 385 with cops and nailing anybody they don't like. It's embarrassing, frankly, but obviously they don't care.

Awesome! Thanks! Considering a move back home. It's between Memphis & a few other locations. So knowing whether that loop is complete affects my house search on zillow...

Also, can anyone give me a good idea of the yearly property tax for a house worth $250k??? In Collierville area? In Arlington? In Oakland? In rossville? The estimated on zillow seem skewed...

your best bet is to search for property tax rates for each area. You will find the government pages available with the info.

$250k in Memphis will run about $4500 per year. In Fayette County, but not in a city such as Oakland, it would be about $800. Unfortunately, Fayette County is full up. Not sure on within those other cities.

They have a small stretch of 72 that always has radar too. Trying to keep up with Oakland.

They used to make it off of that stretch of road that led to that school. I got busted there once. Had to give up my license and was told I could pay my ticket and pick up my license later that afternoon at the station. Go to the station, and the same cop that wrote me up took my money and handed me back my license. Tell me something doesnt smell there.......

Yep. If I owned a business in Rossville I'd be pissed; who in their right mind would go anywhere near the place if they didn't have to?

Sweet. That will save a lot of time traveling from my daughters home near Davies Plantation to my sister in law in Corinth or Pickwick.
