stAte is auctioning off the chance for two fans to be the head coach for our Spring Game in two weeks. The fan in question will get to deliver the pre game and halftime pep talk, choose the starters for his/her given team, call plays, decide whether or not to go for it or punt on 4th down, and will get to communicate via headset with the coaching staff during the game. Winner also gets a powerade bath.
All it takes is a smile and 2500 bucks.

Yes, he did something similar. My impression was that it was mostly shadowing the coach for a day, not really calling plays or picking the lineup. Could be wrong.

Bidding already up to 6,000 bucks and the story has been picked up by CBS, ESPN, and NBC
We're the first school that anyone can think of who has made it a public auction. UNC does this, but its a private thing that only high level donors can bid on.

TBD in the AM on cbs sports radio talked about this this morning. Dude was saying that your biggest rivals fan could put in the highest bid and then call plays to get the starting QB blown up. It was just joking around, but thats a national show too, great exposure for you guys.
