Congrats, looks like White & Tyndall will be at it -& at each other- for the near future.
An extreme optimist point of view...probably a fortunate unforeseen consequence/benefit in not making the NCAA for both schools. Keeps them off the P5 radar.
Yeah...I know...I'd rather be in the NCAA's too.

I can't speak for my fellow Tech fans or USM fans but I'm excited about both still being around. Gonna be some WARS next year in basketball between us.

Smart move for us - wonder how much is contract is worth with bonuses? I figured that 700-750k was about the ceiling for us with everything included.
We should be loaded again next year with core of the team back and some more size so I am really glad White will be in Ruston for at least another year.

I don't think his dad would ever hire him. Why put yourself in a position to potentially have to fire your kid one day?

$400k after year three
$300k after year four
$200k after year five
I think before this he was 600k before this month, 500k this month, 400k next year...so an increase of 200k after next season.

If anyone wonders how a program, La Tech, can pay their coach $600,000 per year yet only have about 1,000 paying fans per game then check the amount they stiff the taxpayers, over $9mil last fiscal year, to cover the losses in their athletic dept per year. Obviously the La taxpayers have deep pockets.

regardless of the 'why'....it's important that the dawgs did this.
it won't be enough downstream, but spending money on quality coaching is the future whether people like it or not.....
