UCONN Pre-Game Thread - UCGrad1992 - 03-14-2014 12:46 PM

I'm getting pumped for tonight's game against UCONN. Time to kick some Husky arse all the way back to Storrs! GO Cats!

Hey Shabazz! You want to go to war?! We'll take you to war!

Need a big win tonight so I can shut up my co-workers who are UConn fans/alums. They've ramped things up since the ugly performance in Hartford and then Shabazz stealing the award from SK. Then beat whomever tomorrow night. Honestly I don't even care if it is Louisville or not, just win the damn tournament.

All about guard play tonight, without it we have know chance. Just stating the obvious, I guess.

RE: UCONN Pre-Game Thread - Bruce Monnin - 03-14-2014 05:24 PM

I had to watch the last UConn game on a bar television from the other side of the room with no sound.

Looked to me like we played very poorly, and still almost won on the road.

We ought to take these guys tonight.

Turned the ball over way too many times last night against an inferior guard lineup. Better find a way to get the ball up court.

We're gonna take it up the court and into the bucket tonight for the win, Billy. You can book it!

SK is going to light up the house. I bet the place is almost empty after Memphis crapped the bed last night.

i like that group of photos haha

RE: UCONN Pre-Game Thread - bearcat54 - 03-14-2014 06:57 PM

this will be a very tough game for UC tonight. We have to play smarter and not turn the ball over as much as the last game. We owe them a butt whuppin'. Fouls have to be watched too. Lawrence has to be productive tonight. No rebounds, 4 fouls and several turnovers with NO POINTS last night is ridiculous for anyone that was rated as one of the top 50 recruits. Time to put the game face on team. Accept the challenge and take names and kick butt. GO CATS!

I'm hoping that Mick limits the time that Guyn plays tonight due to him not being one of the best point guards that we have in terms of passing and making good decisions. He makes some horrible passes that usually ends up with JJ or Titus fouling someone to prevent a dunk. We need Guyn at times on defense to give someone a rest but hoping he's not playing 20 minutes or more tonight. KJ and Caupain have been doing pretty good lately and we need some momentum tonight. Another game like last night or the last time we played Uconn and we're going home early.
GO CATS!!!!!!!!!!

Guyn needs to score a bit when he is in tonight. I believe he took the goose egg last night.

Probably doesn't matter who wins tonight Louisville playing like an NBA team right now.

There's no doubt about that. They have been on fire lately. No one can stop Harrell. Man child.

Pretty sure when the brackets come out I'll be picking them to win it all again. Really peaking at the right time.

We played two close games against them so we know we can go toe to toe. I would love another crack at 'em if we get past UCONN tonight and return the favor for knocking us out of a Big East Tournament Championship a few years back. First things first.....

I think UL may be the team to beat nationally. And I'd be pissed to see them in UC's region for the NCAA's. But you know who would be pissed to see UC in their region? Louisville. Uc can play with those guys.

Uconn will be tough. The road goes through two schools with senior guards that have won national championships. Let's see what we got.

RE: UCONN Pre-Game Thread - Bruce Monnin - 03-14-2014 08:07 PM

My CBS Sports app says Vegas has this game as Pick 'em.
