I met Tony Barbee some years ago, he seemed like a nice guy. But today he was fired from Auburn.

Barbee had some of the most exciting teams here at UTEP. Can't blame the guy for giving it a shot at the big time. You might never get another shot.

They might not be a big time program but they are in a big time conference and they paid big time money for Barbee.
I guarantee you this, Barbee was never going to make a million dollars coaching at UTEP.

You have to understand also that the Miner fans never really liked Barbee. The season ticket holders here at UTEP are old school fans who have been their for years. For whatever reason ( and you'll have to read between the lines here) they just never warmed up to Barbee.

I'm a season ticket holder and i liked Barbee. As a matter of fact, I don't know any season ticket holders that did not like him.
