Coin flip after the Louisville game - anothertigerfan - 03-08-2014 03:36 PM

To determine #1 seed in the AAC tourney between Louisville and Cincy. What a wild first season.

Who do we want to win that coin flip?

We haven't beaten UConn or Cincy, and it's TOUGH to beat a team THREE times in a season, especially on that teams home court.

So do we want UConn (pretty much a given) then Cincy? Or do we want Louisville? Beating Louisville 3 times in a row will be hard as well, but possible.

Either way, Tigers CAN win this thing. And this tourney is gonna be a dogfight! Can't wait!

I call Heads.

I want Cincinnati. All the scaredy cats can kiss my blue and gray ass.

They won't beat us on our home floor again. Nick Van Exel isn't walking through that door. This team wants and deserves another shot at the Bearcats.

I wonder if they will cover the coin flip on TV? And who gets to call it?

^^^^This. They won't beat us again. And it looks like Big Dom is outta the doghouse.

Coin flip about to take place.

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - anothertigerfan - 03-08-2014 04:26 PM

Cincy wins coin flip!

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - ballen - 03-08-2014 04:27 PM

Good. Time to take care of business!

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - tigers0830 - 03-08-2014 04:28 PM

Cincinnati wins the coin flip and is the 1 seed

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - k2tigers - 03-08-2014 04:31 PM

Good. I prefer them after we beat UConn.

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - genieiab - 03-08-2014 04:37 PM

Yep, I had much rather face opponents that have beat us twice than an opponent we have beaten twice.

It's tough to beat a good team 3 times in a season. It happens, but not often. The odds are neither UCONN nor Cincy will beat us 3 times.

Whatever...this tournament is going to be insane!

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - jgardne - 03-08-2014 04:41 PM

good grief. It's not hard to beat a team 3 times in a season when you're a lot tougher than the other team.

How many teams did we beat 3 times/season in C-USA from 2006 on? Pretty much every team we played 3 times

The whole situation was just crazy.

It's a coin flip to determine the first seed. They're both regular season champs. Co-champs.

I believe the statement was...it's tough to beat a good team three times.

Oh and just to cover all the bases..the statement was also it's tough...not impossible.

So, to recap...it's tough to beat a good team 3 times in one season.

Is that more clear?

RE: Coin flip after the Louisville game - tiger1016 - 03-08-2014 04:47 PM

So, I assume SMU is the 3 seed now. Are we the 4th or 5th seed...just curious?

UConn will be a very tough game. If our guys play with the intensity they displayed in the Louisville game and the 2nd half of SMU game, we can beat them.
