That's kind of surprising. Not sure of their qualifications to judge, but I'll take it. Also, the picture is a bit weird for JMU.

List is a complete joke but I clicked the Niche link and their report card is seems accurate to me. Diversity and Parking both deserve Cs. Girls and Food both easy A+. I do think the B- for Academics could be a little higher.

Just don't tell him about how our fans don't show up for Alcorn state or rain games.

I was in the process of making this thread too! I think its great to see us included in this list. I find it silly that we're ranked higher than LSU, WVU, etc but regardless I'm glad we have gotten some recognition for having great sports fandom.

While tempted to say "this list is bogus" ... look at the top 20 ... we are in some incredibly good company.

I don't understand how we get put on this list though. Sure we have some good, clever fans and a great marching/pep band. I mean our men's bball games average under 4000 per game and football games are generally about 22k with the majority gone by the fourth quarter..,.I just don't understand how we get lumped in with the USCs, Penn States and West Virginias.

Cal Santa-Barbara is not BCS and they don't even play football. They are in the Big West Conference.

You're right. I forgot they were on the list when I said that. I even said, wow I've never seen a ucsb fan in real life or on message boards.
You can't question that without questioning us though.

The Grove at Ole Miss easily puts them top 20. IU & UNC (obv. for basketball) without Duke seems off. Is K. State really that into sports? I think LSU is higher than 20th.

And after the way Penn State alumni (at least the ones I know) hung on to Joe Pa after everything went down makes them easily #1.

Oklahoma fans were easily outnumber 8 to 1 in NOLA leading up to the sugar bowl.

I do question the ranking but JMU does have an excellent fan base that is passionate about our DUKES. The board activity that we have proves this point. I personally believe a sleeping giant is about to wake up once JMU announces.
