I think we could use a 5A level here in Maryland, because 3A and 4A are getting very crowded.

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - Smaug - 01-22-2014 12:23 PM

It's probably overdue. There is a HUGE difference in enrollment between the top and bottom of 6A.

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - Dracorex - 01-22-2014 12:24 PM

I think the problem in Alabama is that they start at 1A and go up.

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - the_blazerman - 01-22-2014 12:25 PM

5A has a pretty big difference as well.

That would suck to be Gasden, Enterprise or Tuscaloosa.

They will get a lot of deep conversations in on the bus rides.

But they will have a huge homefield advantage. All the visiting teams will still have leg cramps from the bus ride.

Jordan is the only 5A school in its region that resides in Jefferson County.
Not too bad a trip to some of the other members though.

Regions 1 and 3 are gonna be tough, but I'm curious as to why Daphne isn't in 7A...especially since Fairhope made the move up.

Very interesting. Yes, Pelham H.S. gets divided once again as Helena H.S. comes into existence next school year.

Fultondale got screwed in 3A

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - ICB - 01-22-2014 12:47 PM

Will they be allowed to give players stipends if they choose?

Yes they did. It appears a lot of schools will be taking much longer bus rides next year.

The mighty Hayden Wildcats have some road trips as well.

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - the_blazerman - 01-22-2014 12:55 PM

Have you heard any news on where Swindle from Hayden may go?

OT: Say Hello to 7-A - BeliefBlazer - 01-22-2014 01:08 PM

Wish I did

Don't we have an off topic board?

RE: OT: Say Hello to 7-A - BandGrad - 01-22-2014 01:32 PM

Etowah has a VERY interesting region. Not very familiar with Madison County. Looking forward to being one of the bigger bands in our region finally.

Ask Smaug. Clay-Chalkville was sent packing to Huntsville last time.
