Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 01-12-2014 12:49 PM

If these two stay healthy, does Liverpool actually have a chance to win the Premier League?

No, squad is too thin in too many places...especially CM and CB.

The game at Chelsea really showed how much better Chelsea's midfield is. Liverpool lost out big when they were outbid for Willian. He was the best player on the pitch that game.

I like Coutinho, Lucas, and Gerrard but there is nothing behind them.

Just got a chance to watch the Liverpool-Aston Villa match. Gerard is looking pretty shaky in his midfield spot now, even though he scored the penalty kick.

He's played just about every minute this season. He could be 21 and start to look shaky after that much use. Their start is fools gold in a way and much like Spurs the last 2 seasons. Not enough squad rotation and they slide at the end.

It may be fool's gold, but they're taking Everton apart right now. 4-0, and it should have been 5-0 except for an awful penalty kick by Sturridge.

He did score two very nice goals already.

Everton always gets their asses kicked at Anfield.

Yes, but I thought this might be the year they pulled one out. A$$whopping again.

It's been a while since anybody opened up Everton like that. Was that an unusually high line they were playing?

That West Bromwich match was frustrating. One brilliant goal, then an hour of lackluster effort with a kiddie league mistake by Kolo Toure.

Dropping lots of points lately.

Wow, Liverpool is taking Arsenal apart early at Anfield. 3-0 after 16 minutes, and it could be 5-0.

...sorry, 4-0 at 19 minutes! Sturridge made that look too easy.

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 02-12-2014 08:46 PM

Penalty kick by Gerrard in the 91st minute to beat Fulham...only four points out of 1st place!

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - aTxTIGER - 02-12-2014 09:50 PM

How stupid was that penalty. Just usher Sturridge to the end line. It isn't hard.

The lunge seemed completely unnecessary. That's a bit of luck (if you can call it that) that Liverpool has been missing all season.

That's the first match they've won by one goal since ManU in the third game of the season.

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 02-18-2014 07:12 PM

Tough FA Cup result Sunday, but it might have been better if Sturridge could use his right foot.

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 02-23-2014 09:11 AM

Chaos breaking out at Anfield. Liverpool blows a 2-0 lead, takes the lead back 3-2 at the 35th minute, and now Suarez has just tried a shot from the mid field that almost caught the goalie flat footed.

Sturridge with two, and Henderson (finally) with a Premier League goal. Still not half time.

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 03-01-2014 03:06 PM

Liverpool catches Arsenal today with a 3-0 win at Southhampton.

Chances for the top four looking good.

But is Arsenal in serious trouble?

RE: Saurez and Sturridge - bubbapt - 03-16-2014 09:41 AM

Gerard with his second penalty kick early in the second half at old Trafford.

Liverpool is looking better on the road than they've looked since dismantling Tottenham and getting AVB fired.
