Bloom off the rose quickly for the New Big East - indycat - 12-30-2013 08:24 AM

Went to the Omaha World Herald to get their take on the UC vs. Nebraska game and happened upon this story. As many of us have suggested, this is the Big East in name only. For those across town who thought this was just the view of some UC partisans take note of this story:

I took a quick look at the standings of the Big East and the A-10.

You could make a case that the A-10 is better than the Big East - certainly comparable.

I don't know - their Sagarin ratings beat the AAC.

Not surprising. The bottom of the AAC is struggling and aren't quite in the same class as Depaul, Seton Hall, St. Johns (Not that they are world beaters this season, but they have had more success than our bottom guys). AAC is better at the top.
