Recent book purchases - TigerBill - 12-14-2013 01:42 PM

What have you bought to read during the dreary winter months? My signature has the books I'm reading currently, one for business, one for research, but yesterday I finally got the book I've been waiting for: "Days of Battle - Armored Operations North of the Danube Hungary 1944-1945" by Norbert Szamveber.

What about you?

Currently reading Stephen Ambrose's "Undaunted Courage - Meriwether Lewis, Thomas Jefferson and the Opening of the American West". At the same time, I'm reading some of the passages from "The Journals of the Lewis and Clark Expedition".

I've got it in the book case for a lazy day. Should be fun.

Haven't even looked at the jacket. Isn't it the continuation of that? Seems like I read that somewhere.

Read/listened to this several years ago. Great book.

I've read it and have the audiobook to listen to. Awesome book, I agree. I offered to loan a copy to someone from the board but haven't heard back from them about that. Of all Ambrose's books I enjoyed this and 'Nothing Like it in the World' best.

I'll pick her up a copy of this for the cruise we're going on.

I have not read this series but I guess I really should. I've sold 4 first editions of 'A Game of Thrones', one signed, probably should have hung onto one but I got great prices for all of them.

It's not bad. It's not his best but not bad. I like the idea of continuing the character of Jake Brigance in Clanton from "A Time to Kill"

Probate law is not the sexiest topic for a thriller of this type IMHO.

For his recent work, I thought "The Summons" was pretty good. I loved "The Client" and "The Rainmaker".

Love this book. Absolutely love it. Leo needs to hurry up and get the movie made which should do nothing but make more people read the book.

I'm reading 'The System' right now. About halfway thru it. Good stuff.
