Post your BCS Bowl predictions - theSabanator20 - 10-20-2013 02:14 AM

yeah, I know its been crazy the past 2 weeks, and it will probably stay crazy from here on out. BUT, its still fun to see everyone's opinion. Here's mine.

BCSNCG: Alabama(13-0) vs. Florida State(13-0)
Rose: Stanford(12-1) vs. Ohio State(12-1)
Orange: Virginia Tech(11-2) vs. Baylor(11-1)
Fiesta: Oregon(11-1) vs. Texas(10-2)
Sugar: Missouri(11-2) vs. UCF(11-1)

Call it crazy... but hey. This year is special. Last year of the BCS.... What would it be without total chaos?

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - Soobahk40050 - 10-21-2013 11:49 AM

NCG: Alabama vs. Oregon
Rose: Ohio State vs. Miami
Orange: Florida State vs. Stanford
Sugar: Auburn vs. Louisville
Fiesta: Baylor vs. Fresno

Current standings show that the 3rd place team from PAC/SEC/ACC will be left as will the 4th place ACC team. Fresno (or N Ill) will remain ahead of UCF/Louisville and end up ranked above 16.

A few comments: I think the Rose bowl will eschew a PAC 10 team for a rematch of a national title game. Also I think Mizzou loses once and then in the SEC Championship, meaning a host of 10-2 SEC teams to choose from.

So how does Louisville pass UCF in the AAC? UCF would have to lose twice.

There's always a 3 way tie with UH.

Not impossible by any stretch of the imagination.

There's always a 3 way tie with UH.

That would also require something almost impossible.

1. Rutgers, the team that has not beaten a single team with a winning record would have to win every single remaining game. And they have to play Houston, Cincy, UCF, and USF. Not going to happen.

2. Louisville, another team with a questionable schedule still has to play Cincy and Houston.

3. UCF would have to lose to two games and has four of the last six games at home.

I don't understand why so many people believe it's possible for UCF to lose to Rutgers who honestly not very good. But don't think Louisville can lose to Cincinnati or Houston. I'm not convinced that UL is better than UH to be honest.

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - vandiver49 - 10-21-2013 01:01 PM

Thanks stever20,

I thought I had UCF in the Sugar versus Mizzou.

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - stever20 - 10-21-2013 02:10 PM

I don't see Michigan being top 14 with a loss to Ohio St in the CCG. Especially if they lose 2 weeks in a row...

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - stever20 - 10-21-2013 02:53 PM

Your scenario is interesting.... only not all that possible at all...

Sugar replaces Missouri for Alabama- check
Orange replaces FSU for Va Tech- sounds plausible, except that they would have just lost. Think you'd likely see Clemson there.
Orange with 1st choice doesn't take Baylor at all. Not attractive enough... Could see Oregon there- or Big Ten team(given you're giving OSU a loss but still in Rose Bowl).
Sugar probably does take UCF.
Fiesta probably left with Fresno or NIU.

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - natibeast21 - 10-21-2013 03:42 PM

BCSNCG:#1 Oregon(13-0) vs #2 Ohio State(13-0)
Rose: #5 Stanford (12-1) vs #8 Texas (10-2)
Orange: #4 Florida St. (12-1) vs #3 Alabama (12-1)
Fiesta: #6 Miami Fl (12-1) vs #7 Baylor (11-1)
Sugar: #11 UCF (11-1) vs #9 Mizz(11-2)

*#10 Clemson left out

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - Chris02M - 10-21-2013 04:20 PM

BCS Championship: Alabama VS Oregon
ROSE: Ohio State VS Stanford
ORANGE: Florida State VS Louisville
FIESTA: Baylor VS Clemson
SUGAR: LSU VS Central Florida

if Fresno state finishes top 16 I would be surprised since there upcoming schedule is pretty week

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - 4x4hokies - 10-21-2013 04:24 PM

Fresno is looking very beatable and I think they lose in a rematch with Boise. Also NIU seems to be struggling against some of the worst teams in FBS this year. I think it catches up with them by the end of the season. I don't think the non-AQ will have an undefeated.

???
Houston beats UCF, loses to UL and wins their other 4, ends up 7-1.
UCF beats the 5 other than UH, ends up 7-1.
UL wins the rest, ends up 7-1 and probably ends up highest in BCS poll and gets the BCS bid.

It really requires only one significant upset, UH over UCF.

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - chargeradio - 10-26-2013 10:52 PM

Assuming Fresno State wins tonight:

BCS - Alabama vs. Florida State (both 13-0)
Rose - Oregon vs. Ohio State (both 13-0)
Orange - Clemson vs. Oklahoma
Sugar - Auburn vs. Central Florida
Fiesta - Baylor vs. Fresno State (12-0 vs. 13-0)

The two teams per conference rule gets Missouri, Texas Tech, and Miami-FL. Northern Illinois makes the Top 14 but is ranked lower than Fresno State.

RE: Post your BCS Bowl predictions - stever20 - 10-26-2013 11:11 PM

um it'd be like this for real...
BCS- Alabama vs Oregon(sorry, Oregon will pass FSU)
Rose- Stanford vs Ohio St
Orange Florida St vs Oklahoma
Sugar- Missouri vs Central Florida
Fiesta- Baylor vs NIU

Clemson gets left out while Stanford gets in.
