UC announces football player Ben Flick, out of Hamilton, was killed in a car accident on Sunday night.

It was a single car accident in Hanover Township. Mark Barr, Javon Harrison and an unidentified driver also injured in the accident.
Barr and the driver are in critical condition.

They were at the game, but did not travel with the team or dress. Drove up on their own.

BUTLER COUNTY (WKRC) - Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, there was a report of a single-vehicle accident at Stahlheber and Morman roads in Butler County's Hanover Township. A car had lost control and gone off the roadway ejecting 2 passengers.
One male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. 3 others were taken from the scene by medical helicopter. Officials on the scene say it appears alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office and the Butler County Coroner's Office continues to investigate the incident.

You hate to see such things. It's even worse when it happens to someone so young, with so much promise...
I just hope the 2 WRs that were with him in the car fully recover. Barr and the driver, who they haven't named, are still listed as critical. Harrison is listed as stable...

I was just told by authorities with knowledge of the situation that one of the people listed in critical condition was being held on support systems for his family to arrive, but barring a miracle, will not make it. In respect to tha family of that player I won't post his name until after it has been announced.
I took Ben around campus on one of his unofficials...just horrible, horrible news...

I'm not sure when the last time was something this devastating has happened to Bearcat nation.
Something big needs to be done a the next home game to show our solidarity.
Would love to see everyone in the stands in #77 black tees or the parachuter guys carrying a #77 flag onto the field. So so sad.

The whole thing is tragic.
Not sure of the accuracy but Channel 5 reported the driver was a HS friend who attends Miami. Suspicion that alcohol was involved.
