I didn't see the defensive alignment all game, but maybe Michigan was bunching up the middle all game, so there might have been space out there, but i wouldn't bet Akron speed against Michigan speed often.
Plus, a run might have surprised them with so little time left and Akron had the time out.

They ran 2 in the last 15 seconds, what are you talking about? They also got screwed out of like 9 seconds for no apparent reason.

The ball was released really fast, so I'm not sure. If the ball was remotely near the the receiver, I wonder if there might have been a pass interference call.

What the hell did Bowden call a toss sweep play to the short side of the field from the 2 when you have less than half a minute to play?
Should have thrown the ball twice, Michigan's D had trouble defending the pass all day.
