I just wish they would have let ECU go ahead and leave. They have a few respectful posters on here, but for the most part could live without the rest for the next 12 months.

Well Graybeard, what possible good could possibly come from starting a countdown to your exit on the CUSA board? I could see you being excited and wanting to do it on the AAC board. It's just indicative of the "always be looking at us, aren't we special" mentality of your fan base. It's tiresome.

I don't care if you get it or not GB. The fact is ECWHO has had one to many Troll fans on here to make me go from respecting and rooting for ECU in every game except one to hating everything Barney Purple. I for one and I know Im not the only one hope we never schedule ECWHO ever again. Also for Marshall, USM, Rice, UTEP and UAB playing the no name American in a bowl wouldn't be considered a reward.

Speaks volumes on how you can hate an entire academic institution, its sports teams, players and fans based on 10 (if you can name that many) message board fans who have annoyed you on forums. Anyway, good luck to marshall, I hope we beat the snot out of you, but good luck OOC.
Also I wish good will towards all of the schools who will be JOINING Cusa in 365 days. I hope they come in and kick some ass and keep all the "older" teams on their toes. It will be WKU and ODU right? Then charlotte the following year? (Speaking in football... odu and charlotte are already in for other sports right?)

As a Tulane fan, I still feel bitterness towards two ex-conference-mates over "realignment"-stuff that happened a long time ago.
So I get why fans of Marshall (and of other teams that will remain in C-USA) are going to give the evil eye to ECU (and other teams that have just left, or are fixing to a year from now).
But for all that, the legacy of 11-14-70 will eventually transcend that bitterness, and the Marshall/ECU rivalry will endure, as it should.
