The patriot act just allows the government to trample on the peoples constitutional rights. I was hoping it would be overturned after Dubya left office.

Unfortunately, not go'na happen.

RE: Barack Bush? - DesertBronco - 06-08-2013 11:08 AM

Obama was propped up by special interests, he sold out or he wouldn't be president. Guess what? Unless Johnson does, he won't be either. Sad, huh?

Yup.

Too many people on the dole.

On both sides of the isle, and across all socioeconomic classes.

Will Rogers said it first. "The United States has the best politicians money can buy".

Unfortunately Obama signed the NDAA of 2012 which is only worse, our government can imprison us with no trial and never even recognize that they have us.

Furthermore they believe they have the right to assassinate American Citizens on American soil, no trial or court proceedings whatsoever.

Terrorism ™, "Keeping us Safe" ™ and other meaningless phrases that only have value as political weapons like Lindsey "Bring it on, I don't have anything to worry about" Graham.

So, do we as a nation just accept the fate they have given us?

Who's they?

Maybe we look at why people hate us as a country so much that they want to inflict great harm on us arbitrarily while we're doing the introspection. This time cut right past the simple, easy, (easy = stupid) "they're crazy", and "they're religious zealots", etc etc. That rhetoric gets thrown out and they eyes glaze over and that's the end of the discussion. I suspect it's much deeper than that.

It's not just us they hate, they hate Britain and France as well, both of whom have let them in in droves. Everyone tries to push it off that they see us as imperialists. They dislike Western Culture in general. Do we change our whole culture so they like us? Let's see, our culture or their culture, which one prospers, and which one is loaded with uneducated unemployed males, who keep women down? Out culture is light years ahead of theirs and it will never mirror theirs.

Few Western cultures respect Muslim values, but they tolerate them.
They tolerate them not out of respect, but out of fear from the blowback when they question their values.

If Muslims want to be accepted they need to attempt to assimilate into the culture of the country they have moved to, not the other way around. For the most part Muslims have assimilated well into the U.S. culture, not so much into other cultures.

Great rebuttal, really deep 03-drunk03-drunk03-drunk

Can always tell when you're brain's thrown into neutral. Next Brovol will say the exact same thing that I said, and you'll say, "Yep, we're on the same page." 03-lmfao

Why are you on your third nick now, CD/CD1/CD2?

Browser or their new system won't accept my password. I'm pretty sure you can follow along with out too much confusion.

You just threw out the typical "make us feel better about ourselves" knee jerk reaction I described. No rebuttal necessary. Besides, I like Brovol more than you.

The rest of us haven't had that problem. Why is it so difficult for you?

Tell that to the people of England, who watched a soldier slaughtered in the street by yet another militant Muslim. The Brits have watched as huge numbers of Muslims have immigrated into their country, yet they refuse to assimilate into the culture. The Brits have finally decided kowtowing to Muslim threats and tantrums is not the answer.

Just as with children there are sometimes when there is a right and a wrong, and there is no middle ground. Why on earth should successful cultures give in to the desires of third world loons?
