Saturday's game on a movie screen - bladhmadh - 05-24-2013 09:10 AM

If there is enough interest Iron City will open early on Saturday and show the game on a 11'x19' movie quality screen. If it's something you would attend please respond as we are trying to gauge interest.

I'll send out a tweet and report back... I can't go, but I'm glad to spread the word.

Watching softball on TV, no matter how large, probably won't garner much interest on Memorial Day weekend.

RE: Saturday's game on a movie screen - BigJessT - 05-24-2013 11:30 AM

I've been wondering where to watch the game. I'd be there plus a few.

Wish I could be there, but we are having a family gathering at my place on Saturday.

Doesn't look like enough interest to bring in staff to ooen early

I think you're right.

I'll be doing yard work early on Saturday to where I can stop & watch the game.

I'll be picking up the yard work probably sometime after lunch & the game.

Cant make it but like above will stop yard work and fence building to watch the game.

Im sure he will show some away football and basketball games if the interest is there and it does not conflict with a live act

If I wasn't in Gainesville, I'd go.

I have to keep reminding myself that one of the teams is UAB. Otherwise, this may be the most boring sport in the history of sports.

RE: Saturday's game on a movie screen - the_blazerman - 05-25-2013 01:38 PM

I consider baseball a lot more boring.

That may be because baseball doesn't have fake tea parties, and the players don't wear fake beards and tiaras in the dugout.

That half inning was anything but boring.

RE: Saturday's game on a movie screen - mrchance33 - 05-25-2013 02:26 PM

This is the exact opposite of boring. Three more outs!

RE: Saturday's game on a movie screen - GreenMississippi - 05-25-2013 02:30 PM

Horrific call on the Hit-By-Pitch called intentional. The batter was stepping forward for the swing, and then turned backwards to protect herself. You would never call that in baseball, and it isn't like there is enough reaction time to move because the mound is a lot closer in softball than in baseball.

Three more outs Blazers!

Some people find basketball boring.

*insert Mike Davis joke here*

And if you're wondering, hitting the ball with your arm while in the act of swinging is technically a foul ball.

Edit: SAME DAMN THING! The announcers are full of crap.
