UConn really did carry the Big East for 20+ years. So if we end up carrying this conference (yet to be determined), the other schools shouldn't feel too bad. The C-7 fed off of us for a generation.
Syracuse & Louisville did enough to pull their own weight, but not enough to carry the conference.

since football is the big wheel how about UCONN get good in football....how about that? The Bball first mindset is why all of us are here and not in a P5 conference right now. UC did get the hint, and we made big time strides in football but at this point it was a little to late for the last round of expansion so here we are...with other schools that didn't see fb as a priority. Get a clue folks.

I'm not sure I buy that statement. The U was BE fball, until they left for the ACC. WVU was then considered the standard bearer. UC could lay claim, within the last 5-6 years. Of course you will have uofl fans thinking they carried the league with their 2 BCS wins, since entering the BE.
