An SBC Perception Question for the Newbies - Burn the Horse - 04-06-2013 09:36 PM
This question is for our App State, Texas State, Georgia Southern, and Georgia State fans.
Since yall are brand new to SBC membership, I am curious about something. Who did you perceive to be the best three overall football programs in the Sun Belt before joining? In order.

Before we joined?
Troy was top dog. All the way. No one was even close.
After that, I would have said (of the remaining teams) Louisiana and ULM. To be honest, I had no idea there was even a western kentucky. And Arkansas State (I thought) was FCS.
Since joining the SBC, I would have to say top three teams are:
stAte, Louisiana, and then ULM. Troy being close at fourth.

Two years ago before App started this process my perception was:
Troy, stAte, and MTSU
ULL and ULM next tier.
WKU, UNT, F_U bottom half.
Was not familiar with USA.

You guys are going to hate us and GaSo so much your coaches will not be able to go to the bathroom without thinking about us. You will probably have to hire a new coaching staff after every two years because the old staff will be worn out thinking about us. You are going to have to get so good that the Western division will seem like playing down. Time to bring Troy back, we need the RPI advantage, has to happen.

It was because we both had success and bowls. TROY has also been on national TV more than most everyone.
We will be on ESPN 3 times during the regular season this year. More than anyone else I believe.
