Rudy Gay finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, kick-starting the UConn offense. He has at least 19 points in three of four games.

PLAY OF THE GAME

Gay's putback dunk of a Rashad Anderson miss to make it 53-38 early in the second half. That was the final basket of a 12-0 run.

WHAT WENT RIGHT

UConn outrebounded Indiana, 45-35. At one point, the advantage was 36-18. The Huskies also had a 38-32 advantage in points in the paint and utilized their size advantage, forcing Indiana to fire away from the perimeter. The Hoosiers made 10 of 29 three-pointers. ... UConn shot 54.2 percent, 60.7 percent in the first half (17 of 28), and made 19 of 26 free throws. ... Marco Killingsworth, though dominant in the early minutes, was disrupted by Josh Boone and Hilton Armstrong and different defensive looks. ... Indiana did not have a block. ... UConn pushed the lead back to 18 after a 20-point lead was cut to seven.

WHAT WENT WRONG

Anderson was 1-for-6 on three-pointers after going 1-for-5 against Pittsburgh. ... UConn had 16 turnovers and forced just seven. Indiana scored 25 points off turnovers to the Huskies' nine. ... Though the Hoosiers made just 10 of 29 three-pointers, they had many open looks that did not drop. ... UConn allowed 18 offensive rebounds and took 59 shots to Indiana's 77.

OF NOTE

Denham Brown swished a long three-pointer as the first half ended and initially was credited with the basket. It was waved off after review. UConn led 41-36 at halftime. ... Boone's putback dunk in the first half was incorrectly credited to Jeff Adrien. ... Rob Garrison did not get in the game. Coach Jim Calhoun said he would experiment with Garrison in the rotation, but that could have been nothing more than an attempt to light a fire under Craig Austrie, who had no points and one assist in 10 minutes. "Craig is going to be fine for us," Calhoun said. ... Armstrong on Killingsworth, a 6-foot-8 forward who came in averaging 18.6 points: "He's pretty strong. He's short but he's athletic. He uses his body really well." ... Boone and Indiana guard Marshall Strickland played AAU ball together in Maryland. Strickland, a senior, said he tried to convince Boone to come to Indiana with him but Boone opted for a year of prep school, then UConn. Strickland had 16 points and five assists Saturday. Coach Mike Davis said Strickland is playing as well right now as he has at Indiana. Boone and Strickland keep in touch.

Why not just copy the whole freakin website there 01-wingedeagle

Anyway, I predicted Uconn would win bt 20. They got there, but couldn't sustain it. Almost let the Hoosiers get back in it, but Uconn has proven it has the maturity to hang tough - even when down 10 as they were in the first half.
