One year anniversary of Gruehls passing - ctipton - 12-26-2012 03:04 AM

Today, December 26, 2012, marks the one year anniversary of Greg Ruehlmann's passing. He is missed as much today as the day he left us.

Indeed, especially during the week before the Miami game. I'm sure he is regaling The Lord with his hilarious comments about the Redhawkskins.

Greg will always be remembered and missed by those of us that met him and his wife. A class act and he loved his Bearcats so much. Rest in Peace, Greg. Never forgotten.

A witty fellow.

the g man always posted in lowercase. i've adopted that some years past. i imagine he was a perpetually busy bee who couldn't be obstructed by the shift button nor anyone that stood in his path. we shalt always celebrate your life greg

This board still has plenty of quality posters left, but still, his departure leaves a huge void.

You are missed every day G 03-weeping

I asked him about that once and he said is was only his first initial, and last name.

It's definitely not the same without him. He left this world too early...

Great post.

I always enjoyed reading his way with words and having to refer to a dictionary on a regular basis. As bearhawkeye said, it's not the same without him.

He gave me my 2nd set of Reputation points after Chatter gave me my first (thanks Chatter! 02-13-banana). From everyone's tributes to him he obviously was a very sincere, generous man and bled red and black. I'm sorry I never had the pleasure to meet him.

Great guy that left us way too early.

I'll have to get his son, Greg, to come to a board meeting. He's just as funny and witty even though he's an XU fan.

He is an amazing person. I feel bad for any newer or future members who never got to know him. I still miss the Big Cat as much now as I did a year ago and my heart goes out to his family.

He is dearly missed. One in a million. You'll never know another like him.

Such a nice guy. Met him a few times to watch tourney games with the rest of the crew from here.

He bought us beer and treated us like family. Great person, and missed.

Some months ago I went to his page here on Banter to see when was the last time he logged onto here. He didn't post but he was here reading.

I made both a mental and physical note on my calendar and on Christmas day at 2:24pm I gave him five minutes of silent thought.

I've often wondered how long he stayed on the site that day but I don't think you can tell {?} Maybe a mod could, I don't know. Just to know he was on here that day at that time was thought provoking to me. 04-cheers
