5 Star recruit (#21 in country) visiting for Wright State game - chicago bearcat - 12-20-2012 11:21 AM
Jermaine Lawrence, ranked as the #21 player in the entire country, is visiting UC this weekend, according to Adam Zagoria. It's important we get a good crowd for Wright St. game in which students are on break. If there's one game to buy tickets for, this one is it.

There are more than enough students that live in town to fill up the student section. Get to the game. Make a Jermaine Lawrence big head or 10. Chant his name. Show this kid the school and city support their Top 10 basketball program...

I wouldn't be too hopeful on that front. The best student fans are usually the one from out of town. The locals are usually much more sporadic in their fan support.
I'd love to see the local student show up, I just have concerns. How was the UC student turnout for the X game?

Does UC have a legit chance with him? I've always figured they were 3rd or 4th at best on his list and a huge longshot. Everything I've seen is that UNLV may lead with Syracuse the main competition.

Marcus, I used to live in New York and still have friends who coach in the PSAL. I'm heard from them that Cincinnati is still very much in mix for whatever that's worth.

I'm leaving NYC at 3 or 4 AM Saturday morning and driving straight through to make it to the game. Weather permitting, I'll be there.

Right at the top of his list with St Johns. Cuse hasn't been after him that hard, but if they turn it up they will no doubt make up ground quick. I don't think UNLV is much of a factor any more...

Can't make the game. My son is flying into town on Saturday and I will be picking him up at the airport. I will be there in spirit, but realize that my spirit won't help make the place load.

I think Syracuse getting commits from Roberson and Johnson has cooled their interest on Lawrence.
