Combines most of the nBE with MWC and others. Why 24 teams? Larger TV markets and a reduction in costs for nonFB sports with close rivals. look for two 12 team divisions with 3 4 team pods.

Yeah I can totally see SJSU and USU making a best of the rest conference. Not to mention Tulane Navy CSU and Memphis really solidify the football side of things for you.

Just shows how poorly thought out the whole process for that conference is....if it's truly being thought out by anyone. That hodge podge makes the "big" WAC look trim and slim.

While legal, nobody in thier right mind will sign onto such a plan until the NCAA changes the rules governing football divisions. NCAA rules allow a conference of more than 12 teams to divide itself into TWO divisions. Teams in the divisions must play a round robin against EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE DIVISION. The winner each division can play a 13th game to determine the conference champion. So technically, you can do this---but a 12 team division would mean an 11 game conference schedule with just one OOC. It would require a 12 game conference schedule if the conference wanted to have a single crossover game--thus eliminating all OOC games. It aint happening.

No one is going to 20 not to say anything of 24. NBE will either go 14 or 16. My guess is 14 for now. Most likely new add Fresno or AF.
