If you pull half your teeth, your odds go up exponentially.

I can think of a lot more selfish things to spend my winnings on. Sorry UAB.

RE: If I win this Powerball tonight - UAB Band Dad - 11-28-2012 10:52 PM

At $550m I can do selfish and an OCS too.

Believe it or not I didn't win. I really thought I had it this time. I'm sure another Blazer won it though.

RE: If I win this Powerball tonight - Memphis Blazer - 11-28-2012 11:35 PM

Damn. Those are my numbers and I forgot to buy a ticket. Oh well.

RE: If I win this Powerball tonight - blazerwkr - 11-29-2012 12:15 AM

Those are my numbers but I misplaced my ticket so if someone comes forward they have my ticket

I'm guessing the 2nd exit in Georgia wasn't as crowded.

Since we mention the lottery, if Alabama should get into this "game" late, would there be enough interest to make it worthwhile since almost every contiguous state has one already established? Is it similar to starting a new casino when the Poarch Creek casinos are already established with 3 in southern Alabama and the Cherokees thinking about one in east Alabama?

We had a legitimate chance to vote for a state lottery during Siegelman's administration and ******* blew it, man! These "Part-Time Puritans" here are going to ensure that the only way Alabamians play a lottery is to travel to another state to do so.

All it takes is one vote over 50%.

I imagine it would be 60 - 40 against if it came up for a vote again.

Why is it okay for only certain parts of the state to have "legalized" casino gambling? Not Birmingham, of course.

Anti McGregor sentiment, I worked for him out at the BRC & counted his money there. The casinos in Alabama are federally controlled so thats how they can run in state ie we stole your lands 200 yrs ago & as recompence you can open a casino in your tribal lands.

I have no beef with the Indian territorial Imperatives. It's the "ones that speak with forked tongues" in Montgomery that pass bills allowing only certain counties or areas in the state to have a "legal" gambling venue, instead of establishing free enterprise in this regard, because that would have allowed Birmingham to have some level of autonomy, and that's out of the (bleeping) question. Exhibit A: The Greyhound track...How long was it after Macon and Greene County established Dog Racing (woof-woof!) that Birmingham was even granted an opportunity to have a referendum to decide for themselves whether or not they wanted dog racing in their own city limits? Remember how McGregor tried to get bingo legislation worded to where only Victoryland would be the only venue in the state allowed to feature bingo (****ing slot machines! one-armed bandits!) when "Boob" Riley tried to get him locked up after being made to look like the f**l that he was? Don't get me wrong, I think McGregor is a slimeball, but I'm glad he won that last round against the state and the feds.
