I agree, but UAB probably would have never been invited to the Great Midwest Conference or helped found C-USA without Bartow fighting for UAB to get in.

Not a likely one, but we did have the late Thomas "Hit Man" Hearn at Wake Forest making our case at the time.
Besides the stadium issue, the failure of Jean Anne Linney to clear the deadwood on the undergrad side is going to make AAU status a long if not impossible shot. Had she not lost her fight with the Forces of Sloth, AAU status would greatly help our ACC chances. But the ******** were simply too deeply entrenched, and continue to whine to this day.
