The Chicago way.

Don't be sidetracked by the claims of "health".

These folk stop at nothing. It is all about themselves. They have you by the short hairs and you don't even know it. It cuts across race, education, socio-economic class and religious affiliation.

There is no absolute truth. They make up as they go along. And what concerns me the most is others (the suckers and saps) don't care. As long as they get theirs. "You can't take it with ya!" "But as long as you have some I'm gonna try and take it from you before that day of reckoning!"

Unlike California where everything is "high brow", Chablis filled, Post Doc'd, Illinois is blue collar, bare knuckled, 03-nutkick, patronaged driven, socialism.

In California you have to have a "look". Wind blown, freshly tanned, 4 eyes bespecled, open collar and open toed sandled.
In Chicago, it's by name alone. If you are related, your'e in. And I don't mean just limited to blood family. If your'e Irish, Hispanic, African American or other you are "related". About 95% of Cook County's residence (where Chicago lies) is one of the following:
- A city, county or state employee
- Work in business that is highly dependent on the City, County or State
- A union member
- A "soldier" of the Democratic Political Machine who is paid in cash to do "jobs" keeping "others in tow".
It is estimated that 50% of these folk "double dip" parlaying their "family ties" into multiple streams of income.

Ingenious you say? Who's $ are they being paid with? They aren't coming up with cures for diseases. They aren't lifting the masses out of ignorance utilizing their ability to educate. They aren't discovering cleaner more efficient sources to power industry and transportation nor are they working to invent the next "internal combustion engine".
Nope, they are being paid with $ from taxes, fees, fines, etc.

It is a finely tuned apparatus. However, as the previous generations collect their pensions, the "trough" is running dry. So instead of creating actual sustainable growth of the economy through legit free enterprise this group continues to extract additional pounds of flesh from others to keep the "pyramid" upright. But it is reaching critical mass. The takers already outnumber the makers. At some point that "well will dry up".

Jesse Jr. is just another example of what this looks like and why it doesnt really serve the long term interests of others.

As a woman with a family member who is bipolar, I resent the comments about Jackson's "health" (in quotes, yet.) If you are not close to anyone who is struggling with this illness, you have absolutely no clue how devastating this disease can be. It's not something to make light of, or to hint that it's being used as an excuse, as is happening in this case.

Whinny, you're smarter than that.

The issue isnt his health. It is how his cadre spin and manage it. They used it for their own gain and at the expense of others.

He is now forcing the state of Illinois to spend millions of dollars they dont have for a special election. An election that could have been avoided if Junior, his wife and handlers had any ethical character. And that is just the latest. He'll be convicted or plea down someway for misappropriating campaign funds for personal use.

Whether you're a woman or not, have a family member afflicted with bi-polar or not is a moot point. If you knew it was your money he was funneling to himself you'd be singing a different tune. I hope?

What do you mean that the issue isn't his health? YOU yourself made it the issue when you said, "Don't be sidetracked by the claims of 'health'." You're the one who minimizes his bipolar condition by putting the word in quotes. And it didn't go unnoticed or appreciated by me for the reasons I stated.

The excuse is his legit health.

The actions, felonious actions, which will put him in jail, are not a result of his health. The fact, he ran for re-election all the time knowing he was going to be indicted and convicted AHEAD of time is the issue.

Bi-polar disorder is a terrible affliction. He and his political gang used his health as a shield, a stall, a misdirection of the truth.

It has no bearing on his, his wife's, their political cadre's willful decisions to steal from and lie to their constituents.

I apologize to you because apparently I wasnt clear. If anyone has diminished or minimized the impact of bi-polar disease it is Junior and his ilk.

I think your bitterness is clouding your judgement. You're getting nasty in your old age.

I don't think Whinny is bitter. I'll try to be clearer next time.

How you doing?

No, she missed the point someone was using their illness as an excuse to mock the constituents who went to the trouble of voting for the liar. Hard to miss unless intentional.
