Football Falls To Warhawks On The Road
Monroe, La. (11/17/12) - The Mean Green struggled to score touchdowns as the North Texas football team fell to ULM, 42-16, on Saturday afternoon at Malone Stadium.
ULM improves to 7-4 and 5-2 in the Sun Belt, while North Texas falls to 4-7 and 3-4 in the conference. The Warhawks lead the series, 16-13.
The Warhawks scored touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and sealed the win with three scores in the fourth. North Texas did not find the endzone until the second half, and by then the Mean Green had too much to overcome.
ULM scored the game's first touchdown, which was the sixth straight game that the Mean Green's opponent scored first. Quarterback Kolton Browning scored the first TD for the Warhawks, a one-yard rush.
Browning passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 25-of-34 passes, including a long of 61 yards. He capped his day with a 61-yard touchdown pass to Je'Ron Hamm in the fourth quarter.
