Yes, but the MWC with Tulsa and maybe even LaLa seems to be in the works and is more likely than C-USA at this point.

We haven't heard much about the MWC. Hope it is true. Would luv a package deal with A State. Where did this rumor start? Is this really a viable option for both schools?

I really don't see ASU being invited to any other conference. No TV market. Its Just Jonesboro, AR.
I've heard the NCAA Infractions Committee was given some negative information concerning the whole Michael Dyer fiasco and they are asking questions. That's never a good thing. 05-nono

It looks like the ASU Message Board "The Den" has gone out of business. Its no longer there. A very fitting end to a horrible College message board. It won't be missed.

Change is coming 1 more good season aka winning the belt and CUSA or Mwc would be stupid not to grab astate

One of ASU problems is I don't believe this is going to be a "good" season for them. They will be lucky to win half of their games. Their first game of the season is against Auburn who has ASU's former coach Malzhom now. I hope he hangs 100 pts on ASU. Then latter in the season they play Western Kentucky who has Bobby Petrino as their coach. Petrino wanted the ASU job but ASU was too stupid to hire him. I know he will try to hand 100 pts on them and I hope he does. ASU's recruiting was pitiful this year. new first time Head Coach, new scheme, but the same ole ASU Arrogance. I hope they get their arses handed to them each and every week. When you are too stupid to hire Petrino, your on your way down.

Not really petrino is trash, good coach but bad person. #2 petrino wanted Arkansas st bc he could win instantly here which he can't at WKU bc they are built for power fb no spread pass attack. Harsin is 61-5 as a OC including coaching several Great Qb's. According to most knowledgable ppl Arkansas st will be favored in all but 2 games. Harsin runs a scheme that will look like freezes. The efficiency of harsins passing attack is why Asu will be on top again in 2013

Ps go back to hogville

LOL....I am in Arkansas...so I am in hogville.
ASU has 6 QB's on their roster...seriously, I am not joking. Look it up.
When you have 6 QB's on your roster do you know what that means? It means your not sure that you even have 1.
Harsin's last job was CO Offensive Coordinator. I believe he was 2nd to Major Applewhite (former TX QB). I could have the name wrong. Anyway, enough about ASU. The Sun Belt focus should be on WKU and Coach Petrino. That is where all the national exposure is going to come from this season. Jr. aint out coaching Petrino.

You do realize texas scrambled to get applewhite familiar with the playbook after Harsin Left?! 7 QB's on Roster Bc the new coach has no clue who half of them are...So a Smart coach yes invites a Adam Kennedy in.. Not to mention having a Parade All American Fredi Knighton doesnt hurt the possible pontential in the 7 qbs on Campus right now..Go look at Arkansas who is their next Qb..Probly the same one that Lost to ULm 03-lmfao ...Sounds like you should worry about them or go cheer for a WKU that will FLop bc they are not built for the spread...Their stable is very much Empty at WR. Who their Qb? Nobody Knows! 03-lmfao

Hey, you could very well be right. I don't think ASU should start Knighton at QB. But I could very well be wrong.
I would think that Knighton would be a bigger asset playing other multiple positions due to his speed and that elusiveness factor the slippery joker seems to have. He would be a monster on kickoff and punt returns, not to mention WR and scat back.
I hear that deal about ULM beating the U of A last year alot from ASU Fans. Glad it gives you guys something to use to make yourselves feel better. The Hogs had a horrible coach last year. He is no longer there. One and done. If Petrino had still been the coach it would have been a different season. Just like WKU's Football Team will be a different team this year.
Hey you do realize that Lafayette and Monroe are both ranked ahead of the Red Wolves in the preseason SBC Football poll? I know...I don't put much faith into polls either. The outcome on the field is what matters.
The great thing is the season is about to start and we will soon see which teams have gotten better and which ones have regressed. I can't wait for the ASU - Auburn game. For the life of me I can't seem to remember the half time score of the game between ASU and Oregon last year. What was that score? Oh well, it was last year anyway. Looking so forward to the second week of the season.

Wasn't asu picked 3rd last season also?! And again the same excuse coaching changes will sink asu! LOL. Oregon would have ran auburn out of the stadium in 2012. Malzahn offenses always start season sluggish bc playbook is complex. Asu will give them one hell of a game. What was the final score?

When the last time Arkansas went out and played an OOC top 10 team? Didn't Arkansas lose 8 games with a good offensive group? I'll answer it for you...yes...wasn't the OC still in Fayetteville?...yes
Quit with your excuses and your blind forecasts..I could see ASU being bad if oku wasn't in the backdfeild with a "new" Qb.however with a sec caliber back and a full offensive line returning I don't see asu having trouble with 8-10 teams on that schedule!

Petrino will be lucky to finish 6-6

Actually I think you are correct that WKU will be lucky to finish 6-6. WKU has Kentucky, TN, Navy and Army on their schedule this season I would think that would amount to 4 loses right there. The rest of their schedule consists of the Sun Belt Teams except for Morgan State.
As far as the Hogs playing OOC Schools......why would they...they are in the SEC. I can understand your frustration. I mean it's got to be a huge bummer to have a college team in Jonesboro and know that the favorite college football team there has always been the Razorbacks.
The local Wal Marts and sporting goods stores there sell much more Hog items than Red Wolf items. Oh well. Best of luck to you guys this season. Lets see how the season plays out. ASU travels to WKU for the last regular season game. 03-nutkick

03-nutkick

Bitter little man.

I forgot we even had a team board on here. Its a shame the only active thread might have to be deleted at the rate this is going.

Have to love people who haven't been to Jonesboro making outrageous assumptions about merchandise.

I guess I'm just going to have to kick some butt over here too if folks want to break the rules on this board.

I'll get this thread back on coarse...

Us Huskie fans have talked about this topic plenty, and since we don't expect NIU to get an offer for a better conference anytime soon we would rather bolster the MAC. I know geographically it doesn't fit as well, but I think ASU in the MAC would be very competitive. NIU and ASU played each other a lot before NIU joined the MAC again. I know the MAC isn't glorious, but it's better than entry level FBS conference the SunBelt is now.

What is really funny about your post is that in fact...you are assuming.
