Helluva run guys--you have a truly historic match up next on the slate...I wish you success. Beat O$U and even more heads will turn. Not to mention winning the life-long gratitude of older graduates.
Something to ponder...
What if UC and XU meet again....in the championship game?
Could be one of the highest viewerships in the history of the tourney!
Both teams are HIGHLY motivated to run deep into the tourney--XU to shake off the negative image, and UC to establish a signature season for their team and their coach.
If that were to happen...how do you think both coaches would handle it?
What about the players?

LOL I live in Missouri and a friend of mine, Mizzou fan asked me what if UC/XU plays in the title game and also said that's what he's rooting for. I told him, that would be one of the best games in the history of the tourney because you have a long standing heated rivalry, who hate one another, who also made national news for a brawl now fighting for the title...it would be epic
I just want to beat OSU right now though...GO Cats!

It would probably be one of the lowest rated finals in history considering both teams are from same market and neither have much of a national following. It's not worth talking about anyway considering X has been very mediocre for months, beating a 7 seed and 15 seed doesn't change that.

Pretty misleading thread title. I would not want to make it to the National Championship only to play X. I have no desire to play them at all.

Wont happen. Thug U is finally going to start playing quality tournament teams from here on out. No more sinking ships like Notre Dame nor fluke cupcakes like Lehigh. UC should stop playing that school permanently. They have no control over their players or their fans. All they have control over is being able to cover things up.

I think Baylor was the weakest 3 seed too. Watch them beat them too and bang their chests some more. Ugggh.

Baylor's very good, but young. X is a veteran team. I think the upset happens. But, I also think X stops there.

it wouldn't shock me to see X upset Baylor but it would be a miracle for x to beat Kentucky. I'd root for anyone to beat Kentucky but I think Davis would psyche Frease out when he tried to score a bunny. It isn't a given that we'll beat O$U but better odds of that happening than the kentucky game

I whole-heartedly agree with you, marcus. It's evident from the aftermath of the SHOOTOUT that Xavier has no clue on corraling their students. The rest of the year , the jerks wearing the ROBES were still in the front row spewing forth obscenities with regularity. The UC game is just way toooooo big for their students to just enjoy as a rival. It will be no better the next time we play at Cintas. Shut it downnnnnn. They still have Dayton to torment at the Cintas.

Baylor is really freaking good. Made the Big 12 conference finals with a great performance against Kansas. They are talented and athletic across the board. XU is going to have to play out of their minds or Baylor play really down for X to win. They are finally running into a team they don't match up particularly well with.

XU is finally playing a good team in the tournament. ND away from home just isn't the same team. The only thing that I worry about with Baylor is that they have some UConn in them. They'll go long stretches where they rely solely on talent, at the expense of fundamentals, and look very disinterested overall.

If you listen to Big 12 people, Drew can recruit but he can't coach worth a lick. That might make it closer.
