If you like basketball tune into the Ohio-Buffalo game on either ESPN3 or the MAC website. Just one helluva game! Ohio is lighting it up from 3-point range and Buffalo's outstanding forwards, Watt and McCrea are dominating the inside.

Bad news for the MAC, but good news for NIU. NIU probably wont be contending for a MAC title until 2 years from now, so hopefully Ohio will be graduating some of those players by then.

Another great game in the MAC Championship! Ohio 64, Akron 63.
I really like the Championship game being played at Quicken Loans Arena. Now we have to get there!

As long as there are two Ohio teams there, attendance will be good. Ohio and Akron will be in title game again next year. Niu has a chance to finish between 5-8 and host a first round game.

Nixon and Cooper went to Seton. They had quite the dominant team their senior year. 2A competition didnt stand a chance

We would be AWESOME right now....Tony and DJ played very well together at Seton and are still great friends!!! DJ knew exactly how to get the ball to Tony so he could knock down those shots. The chemistry on that team in their senior year was amazing!!!

I watched some of the games on TV. They were a great team. Would have liked to have seen them play the larger schools. Just to see how they matched up.

In Boys H.S. basketball, there's a Supersectional doubleheader at the Convo tomorrow night. In 3A, it's Rockford East vs. Peoria Central. In 4A, it's Rockford Auburn vs. Warren Township. First game tips off at 6:00 PM.

Someone forgot to tell Iowa fans this is the NIT, I've never seen a "major" school so amped for an NIT game. It is more energetic than most Big 10 games. Kind of a crazy scenario, Dayton is the 2 seed, Iowa the 7, and the game is being played in Iowa because of the play-in games in Dayton. Announcers said Dayton only brought their road reds assuming they would be away, and then Iowa was going to wear their home whites but NCAA mandated Iowa wear their blacks because it was an Iowa road game in Carver Hawkeye. This is what we call an "RPI-buster".

Gotta suck for the Zips. They win the MAC regular season title, lose by 3 in the MAC Championship and then have to go on the road to play a crappy Big Ten team in the NIT.
